NIGHTLIFE, SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS IN PUERTO VIEJO STROLLING IN PUERTO VIEJO The South Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica is simply a wondrous place to visit, offering awesome surf beaches, delicious food and an Afro-Caribbean culture. These banana plantations still operate South of Limón and provide exports from this province. Calipso and reggae music can be heard in the streets and the delicious aromas of local Caribbean cuisine fill the air. The language is mostly Spanish, but sometimes a dialect of English called Patois is heard. The town of Puerto Viejo and its neighboring towns welcome all foreigners with open arms, and provide visitors with shopping, dining and unforgettable experiences.
